2019 Annual Meeting Notice

Pursuant to the bylaws of Nymeo Federal Credit Union (“Nymeo”), formal notice is hereby given this 7th day of February 2019, to the general membership of Nymeo for the upcoming Annual Meeting, which will be held:

Tuesday, April 23, 2019
The Delaplaine Arts Center
40 S. Carroll Street, Frederick, MD 21701

Doors open: 5:30 pm
Meeting: 6:00 pm

Tickets are required for the Annual Meeting and can be obtained at no charge beginning March 4, 2019 at any Nymeo branch location, or by contacting Jennifer Haley at 240-436-4066 or email at jhaley@nymeo.org.

There will be four (4) Directors who have an expiring term on the Board of Directors as of the date of the Annual Meeting. Charles Yancey, Isaac Yoon, Richard Allen and Norman McGaughey have been nominated for the open positions.The election for the open positions on the Board of Directors will not be conducted by ballot and there will be no nominations from the floor when the number of nominees equals the number of Directors who have an expiring term.

Biography of Nominees

Charles W.C. Yancey, Chair
Charles is a Retired Research Structural Engineer, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Charles has an M.S. in Structural Engineering and a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He is President of a tax preparation firm (1984 to present), Treasurer of Adelphi Presbyterian Church, former Treasurer of the Hyattsville, MD CROPWalk, Treasurer of the non-profit Solar Empowerment Initiative, and a member of the Maryland Society of Accountants. Charles has been a member of Nymeo (formally COMSTAR) for 48 years. He served on the Credit Committee for one year and is currently serving on the Board of Directors. 

Isaac Yoon, Treasurer
Isaac is a member at the American College of Emergency Physicians and is board certified in family practice medicine. He serves as the Medical Director of Patient First, a regional primary care and urgent care medical provider, and he is also the Medical Director of Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital. Isaac is involved with many charitable organizations with whom he assists in fundraising efforts. He is an undergraduate alumnus of Johns Hopkins University, class of 1985 and a 1989 graduate of Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Richard Allen, Board Member, Supervisory Committee Chair
Richard is a Physicist in the Quantum Measurement Division at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), where his research areas are accelerometers and microdevices.  He is responsible for all NIST accelerometer calibration. He also is Co-Chair of the SEMI 3DS-IC Standards Committee and was NIST assignee to SEMATECH’s 3D Enablement Center from 2011-2013. He has served on the Session of Neelsville Presbyterian Church.  Richard has been a member of Nymeo for over 28 years and has served on the Supervisory Committee since 2009 (Chair since 2013) and the Board of Directors since 2014. Richard received the B.S. and M.S., both in Physics, from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his M.B.A. from Columbia Union College.

Norman McGaughey, Director
Norm is Coordinator of Career and Technology Education in the Curriculum Instruction and Innovation Department for Frederick County Public Schools, where he oversees Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Family & Consumer Science, and Agriculture in the middle and high schools. Norm spent the first part of his career working in the financial industry as Regional Manager for First Investors Corporation and Trust Operations Manager for Farmers and Mechanics National Bank. He is an undergraduate alumnus of Penn State University, class of 1985, 1986 graduate of the University of Maryland of Financial Management, and he received his Educational Leadership Degree from Hood College in 2015. Prior to his 20 years in Career and Technology Education, Norm worked in the financial management industry and served as Regional Manager for First Investors Corporation and Trust Operations Manager for Farmers and Mechanics National Bank.
